REIA Database
A Racial Equity Impact Assessment (REIA) is a careful and organized examination of how a proposed bill or resolution will affect different racial and ethnic groups. We, the Council Office of Racial Equity, conduct REIAs to answer the question, how will this bill affect Black residents, Indigenous residents, and other residents of color in the short and long term?
By researching how a measure will impact the symptoms and structures of racial inequity, we hope to spark conversation that is more brave, empathetic, thoughtful, open-minded, and racially equitable than before.
We conduct REIAs after a bill’s public hearing and in advance of a committee mark up. We will publish all REIAs before committee mark up below.
